Raj obtained his primary medical qualification from Delhi. He worked in the NHS as a General & Urological Surgeon for 13 years. This gave him an in-depth understanding of the workings of the medical establishment.

Raj met with obstacles in the progression of his medical career and this resulted in challenges being made to various medical authorities; some of the court judgments have been widely reported in the press and cited as case law. Raj started assisting doctors in professional difficulty armed with a wealth of personal experience. Raj then undertook study of law and went on to obtain the Barrister’s diploma. In 2006-7, he played a key role in the landmark case in relation to the immigration rights of doctors on HSMP.

Subsequently, Raj established a medicolegal practice and has been providing comprehensive support to doctors and dentists in all areas of professional practice. Raj has been involved in a number of landmark employment, breach of contract and regulatory cases.
